WINTERTAGE Shawl (English)

Inspired by cold winter weather this shawl design is a cozy accessory for staying warm and protected. The name WINTERTAGE means winter days in German and describes the mood of the design. Bulky yarn, modern asymmetrical shape and irregular Garter Stitch Stripes make this shawl an exciting knitting project fun to work.

This shawl was designed with a focus on knitting beginners using only basic knitting techniques super easy to work. The project is also quick to work because of the Bulky weight yarn and big size needles.

The shawl is worked flat from the acute angle to the opposite side with increases on one edge only. The irregular change between Stockinette Stitch and stripes of Garter Stitch are fun to work without getting bored of simple stitch patterns. The edges are worked in Garter Stitch.

Two sizes are available for this design – size 1 and size 2. Beside different dimensions of both size versions there is also a small difference in Garter Stitch Stripes positions to achieve a harmonic appearance of the pattern.

Two sizes (size 1 – smaller and size 2 – bigger) are available for this shawl design. The details described in color (blue and orange) should help for a better orientation through the instructions for each size. The details in black apply for both sizes of the shawl.
