This pattern is in English.
The pattern was originally published in Laine Magazine Issue 14 by Laine Publishing.
Inspired by the Nordic summer nights this shawl design is about soft light, fresh air with Nordic flower scent and moments of silence. Wandering through a forest while enjoying singing birds, sitting in the garden with dear friends or walking back home at white nights. I can see the shawl wrapped around the shoulders, light and tender yet warm and cozy. All elements are rounded and soft inspired by the natural shapes. It is named Sommernacht for summer night in German.
The shawl has crescent shape, beginning in the middle of the top and working increases at the edge stitches. Beginning with Garter Stitch gives time to become confident with the shawl shaping before the Lace section starts and brings a lot of change into the project. The alternation between Garter Stitch and Lace sections makes the pattern fun and very interesting to work. Edge stitches are knitted with Garter Stitch.
This knitting pattern contains a step by step instruction, a schematic, a chart for the Lace Stitch and a sketch for Garter Tab knitting to make it very easy to follow.
