MOABIT Hat (English)

A modern unisex design fun to knit and to wear.

MOABIT hat can be knitted in one or two color version. The hem of the two color version is knitted in a contrast color while the rest of the hat is worked in main color. Brocken ribbed stitch pattern with twisted stitches is used for this design. The crown is shaped with speacial decreases.

You will need Basic Knitting Techniques like
• Casting on
• Working in rounds
• Knitting and purling stitches
• Knitting twisted stitches (knitting through the back loop)
• Purling 2 stitches together

The following special knitting techniques are shown as tutorials (photo and text) in the pattern
• 1 stitch decrease twisted with Right Leaning
• 1 stitch decrease twisted with Left Leaning
• 2 stitches decrease with twisted middle stitch on the top

For one color version of the hat:
1 ball or 100 g in color GENÊT (olive yellow)

For two color version of the hat:
color A: 0.5 of a ball or 50 g in color FORET (dark olive green)

SUGGESTED NEEDLES
3.5 mm/4.0 mm/5.0 mm (US 4/6/5) circular needles or another size to achieve the gauge below
