This pattern is in English.
GESTALTUNG Sweater is a basic design with a lot of space for individual creativity. The idea of the design was born while sorting my stash. I found a lot of scrap yarn and wanted to knit something interesting to avoid wasting yarn. With no big plan I started my sweater project and discovered very soon how much fun different colors and textures of several yarns bring to the process. While finishing the sweater I decided to write a pattern for this special project. It became a relaxed fit raglan top down sweater with perfectly rounded crew neck. For my second sample I chose a minimalistic and classic dark blue yarn to show cast the whole range of the design.
The sweater is called GESTALTUNG for design in German. It is up to you what you create with this pattern and how you design your unique sweater.
CONSTRUCTION
The sweater is knitted top down seamlessly in one piece. First the back neck is shaped with short rows while knitting flat to create a nice rounded crew neck. Followed by a classic raglan top down yoke. After dividing the garment in sleeves and body it is continued in rounds. Classic and plane Stockinette Stitch is used for the design. The cuffs are knitted in 1x1 ribbing pattern.
