This pattern is in English.
The inspiration for this crochet design comes from mountains. The name Bergluft is German and means mountains air. Hiking, camping or skiing no matter what your activity in the mountains is, it is always a special experience. The air in the mountains is very special to me as well. It is fresh, clear and in spring/summer full of wild plants smelling. I love to spend my holidays in the european Alps. To have a warm shawl around the shoulders is always a must. Even in summer the temperature can be very low especially in the mornings. I would take the shawl on a walk in the woods or to enjoy my morning coffee while watching the Alps from a valley and planing the day. I wanted to create a big and cozy shawl from rustic woolly wool for this idea.
Besides knitting I love to have a crochet project from time to time. For a long time I wanted to create a crochet shawl. The idea and inspiration from above matches crochet stitch pattern perfectly and I decided to create a crochet shawl this time. It is the very fist crochet shawl for eviknitwear.
