This pattern is in English.
The inspiration for the design is coming from the area of architecture. The term anomaly (German: Anomalie) describes the irregularity of elements used to create an interesting look e.g. at buildung fronts. It is also often used for the indoor architecture to create an unusual look of a room. The shawl design shows that using irregularity of simple stitch pattern sections creates an extraordinary and modern looking accessoiry.
The shawl has a creascent shape and it is knitted flat from the upper middle to the bottom edge with increases at the edge stitches. Two stitch patterns made with knitted and purled stitches only are used in this design. This makes it very beginnerfriendly and relaxing to knit. The edge stitches are worked in Garter Stitch Pattern.
This design has a beginner skill level and it is suitable for knitting beginners as a very first creascent shaped shawl as well as for experienced knitters looking for a relaxing to knit project.
The pattern contains a step by step description, a schematic and knitting tutorials (photo and text).
